Grateful Hearts and Christmas Ornaments
There are many things that I am grateful for. Gosh where do you begin? I will start with the obvious, the hubs, the lil monster's, my siblings and their families, my mom and dad (may God rest his soul) and my friends. I am thankful to have a job, I work with such awesome ladies! All of these people bring out the very best in me each day! One thing that I am grateful for are new beginnigs or as we say in our house "do overs". We all make mistakes and need a lil slap on the wrist from time to time. Some mistakes are bigger than other's, some may require more time to heal. This time of year may not be so happy for some and they may not feel very thankful. It can be stressful knowing that they have to spend time with their families because of mistakes that may have happened in the past. Maybe they don't have any family near by. I thank the Lord above that I don't have to feel that way each holiday. I have the best family on my side and the hubs side. I love my siblings, each and every niece and nephew, sister-in-laws, all 4 of them they crack me up and we share some crazy holidays together! My brother-in-laws are da bomb, they are all so fun and keep the humor going. I love getting together with all of them. I may not agree with them 100 percent of the time but I want my kids to have people to relate to as they get older....their family. They need their cousins, aunts and uncles, grandmother and grandfather. These people are part of what makes them who they are. I missed not sharing things with my extended family, that makes me sad. I don't ever see them but I do love them all very much, and only want the very best for them. Time heals all wounds. Sometimes we just need a do over and talk things out. Sometimes it is just an understanding that things are different and that's ok. On this Thanksgiving month (it isn't just a day ya know) ;) I like to think about being thankful and how can I show it to someone else. I show people I love them by helping them or or showing them something super cool and crafty to make! I have no clue who reads this blog, I know I am not a writer. I am not trying to be, I just want to share with my readers ways to be creative and use what you have at home so you can bless others. That is my gift to you. ***HUG*** I love to think "outside the box." Craft with me long enough and your brain will suddenly think outside the box! Are you ready?????
Today I started creating ornaments from scrapbook paper. I like to change things around each year while decorating for CHRISTMAS *not holidays* yes I said it, it's my blog and I can say it!! HA!! This is where I win wife of the year *wink* every time. I wish I could change themes from year to year....insert my non-commital issue I have with home decor. Ouch! Sooo to keep the fam happy
( ie the hubs). I choose to tweak things a bit. So this week I will be creating and showing you some handmade ornaments you can do at home to tweak your Christmas decor. Maybe you can win wife or husband of the year...but please know I am the queen of this area, you can't steal my title. Ha! Know your place people! Just kiddin. Get ready, fire up your glue gun, grab your favorite scrapbook paper, you might even swipe a toilet paper tube or two and make a cup o joe and check back for handmade christmas ornaments to fluff up your CHRISTmas tree this year!
Have a happy day! G
