As the stomach churns....

We are on day two of the stomach flu here at our house.  The lil man is better but little Miss Middle had to come home from school today.  I knew I would get the dreaded phone call from school as soon as she got on the bus to travel to school. I think she lasted an hour.  I tried to tell her to stay home but she has mad negotiation skills, so I caved *shoulder shrug*.  Little miss middle is not your average kid, she is my kid who will never admit she is sick and when she is sick she will deny, deny, deny!! My poker face girl, who never gives in tossed her cookies in the nurse's office at school and in true Miss Middle style asked if she could go back to class.  I love that girl! I am NOT that girl, I have never been that girl.
So what is a crafty mommy to do on a day like today?  Well, it was time to retire the Halloween decor to the fall tote.  I was left with a blank slate.  Remember those sticks I painted white?  Well I told you they would reappear, I found a different container to hold them and added a few book page leaves.

Once again I purchased nothing, I used what I had.  I win wife of the year all the time!! :)  The hubs thinks I am cool like dat cuz that's how I roll!!! HA!

I added two green owls and a few small pumpkins as a filler and to add a splash of color with all the neutral that's going on.

If you didn't already know this, spray paint is your BFF.  I say it time and time again.  If you don't like the color of something change it!

Last but not least I love typography! Words are powerful and inspire people.  I want my family and all who enter our home to know  that they are counted as a blessing.  If you are reading this you are a blessing to me too! I always try to include words in my vignettes I create, it just makes me happy! If it inspires my family and guests then I have done my part creating a space that makes people feel loved and welcome.  How do you inspire other's??

Have a Happy Day!!
